Buford and Festus are fighting the high price of gas by planting beans.

They paid cousin Skeeter $30 to plant 10 rows of bean plants with 3 plants in each row.

10 rows with 3 plants each is 30 plants in total, right?

How wrong you are, my gassy friend.

Cousin Skeeter planted only 9 bean plants but he arranged them to make 10 rows with 3 plants in each row.

How'd he do it?

Scroll down for answer.

Each bean represents a bean plant.

Draw lines connecting any three beans. note from the corners, you can draw two diagonal lines.
